Luigi Martinelli is an Italian aeronautical and mechanical engineer who serves as a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Princeton University. His research covers aerodynamics, computational science, and the design of aircraft and other vehicles. He has helped develop computational fluid dynamics methods alongside his former advisor Antony Jameson at Princeton. Martinelli is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He studied at Politecnico di Milano and Princeton University, where he earned his Ph.D. under Antony Jameson.
