Louis de Beéry
Louis de Beéry, born Lajos Zoltan Árpád Pitrolf on October 13, 1879, was a Hungarian cinematographer active in the Balkans in the early 1900s. In 1909, his employer, the French firm Pathé, connected him with Svetozar Botorić, a Serbian film entrepreneur and cinema owner who wanted to make his own movies. In 1911, de Beéry photographed The Life and Deeds of the Immortal Leader Karađorđe, the first feature film released in Serbia and the Balkans.
