Yasuhito Suzuki
Yasuhito Suzuki (born December 19, 1959) is a former Japanese football goalkeeper from Osaka. He is 1.84 meters tall. He played youth football at Settsu High School from 1975 to 1977.
Suzuki spent his club career with Yanmar Diesel from 1978 to 1982, making 8 league appearances. He mainly served as a backup to Kazumi Tsubota. In 1980, Yanmar Diesel won the Japan Soccer League title, and the club were runners-up in the 1978 JSL Cup and the 1982 JSL Cup.
Internationally, Suzuki played for Japan U-20 at the 1979 World Youth Championship, making 3 appearances. He earned four caps for the Japan national team in 1980, debuting on December 22, 1980, against Singapore during the 1982 World Cup qualification. He retired from football in 1982. His son, Yuto Suzuki, is also a footballer.
