Lorena Céspedes Fernández (born 18 July 1973) is a Chilean physics teacher and independent politician. She served as a member of Chile’s Constitutional Convention from 4 July 2021 to 4 July 2022, representing the 23rd Electoral District in the Araucanía Region. She was deputy vice president of the Convention from 29 July 2021 to 6 January 2022 and led the Committee on Constitutional Principles, Democracy, Nationality, and Citizenship.

She was born in Temuco and is the daughter of Filadelfo Céspedes Galleguillos and Silvia Graciela Fernández Opazo. She is married to Guillermo Venegas Middleton. Céspedes completed secondary school at Colegio Las Condes and earned a degree in Physics with teaching qualifications from the University of Chile. Since 1999 she has worked as a physics teacher, promoting science and technology in Araucanía through teaching and science outreach.

Céspedes is an independent politician and serves on the External Advisory Council of the Center for Public Policy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. In 2018 she was one of five finalists for Chile’s Global Teacher Prize. In the May 2021 elections, running with the Independents for a New Constitution pact for the 23rd district, she won a seat with 5,546 votes (about 3.4% of valid votes).
