Lord Walter Gordon-Lennox
Lord Walter Charles Gordon-Lennox (29 July 1865 – 21 October 1922) was a British Conservative politician. He was born in Belgravia, London, the youngest son of Charles Gordon-Lennox, 6th Duke of Richmond, and Frances Harriett Greville. He studied at Eton and Christ Church, Oxford.
He became the Member of Parliament for Chichester in 1888, holding the seat until 1894. In 1891 he was sworn into the Privy Council and served as Treasurer of the Household under Prime Minister The Marquess of Salisbury from 20 November 1891 to 11 August 1892.
He married Alice Ogilvie-Grant on 6 July 1889. They had one child, Victor Charles Hugh Gordon-Lennox (1897–1968), who married three times; his second wife was Canadian Diana Kingsmill.
In September 1922, Lord Walter had emergency surgery for acute appendicitis. He died of a heart attack four weeks later at his home in Bayswater, London, aged 57. His widow died in March 1946 aged 90.
