Lois McIvor
Lois Rayma McIvor (22 October 1930 – 11 June 2017) was a New Zealand landscape painter from West Auckland. She studied at Elam School of Fine Arts and later trained privately with Colin McCahon after living near him in Titirangi. McIvor specialized in glowingly pastel landscapes inspired by Manukau Harbour and Titirangi. She helped found the Association of Women Artists, the Artists Alliance, and the Titirangi Community Arts Council. Her works are in major public collections, including the Auckland Art Gallery, and she had retrospective shows at Te Uru Waitakere and Northart. A notable exhibition was Memoir of the Sixties at Remuera Gallery in 2008. She also influenced other artists, such as Sylvia Marsters. Her paintings have been sold at Webb's auction house in Auckland.
