Litar Shahoora is a town and notified area in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It lies about 13 km east of Pulwama town and roughly 40 km from Srinagar, the summer capital. The town sits on the banks of the Rambi Ara river, near Aglar. The tehsil headquarters of Shahoora tehsil are in Litar. A main attraction is the Ziyarat-e-Sayiddah shrine, maintained by the Tourism Department. Litar Shahoora has good road connections to Pulwama, Anantnag, and Shopian. The nearest railway stations are Bijbehara and Panzgam. The area has several schools, including a government higher secondary school, government boys’ and girls’ schools, and several SSA and private schools.
