Hamilton Ventura
Hamilton Ventura da Conceicao (born 1983 in Cruz das Almas, Brazil) is a Brazilian amateur boxer who competes in the light heavyweight division. He began boxing in 2006 and quickly rose to fame, winning a silver medal at the 2006 South American Games in Buenos Aires. He defeated Julio Castillo in the semifinal and was narrowly defeated by Eleider Álvarez in the final, 16–17. Ventura later tried to qualify for the Olympics at the second qualifying tournament in the heavyweight category (201 pounds) but lost the final 0–5 to Deivi Julio and did not qualify.
