Jammes Luckett, also known as Jaye Barnes Luckett, Poperratic, Alien Tempo Experiment 13 (ATE 13), and Merkcurie, is an American musician, writer, visual artist and voice actor from Columbus, Ohio. She is best known as the driving force behind the rock-electronic band Poperratic, where she sings, writes, plays many instruments, arranges music, directs videos and produces records. She has also written scores for film and television across many genres.

Luckett runs her own label, Art Mechanix (formerly Go Little Records, started in 1998), and has released music under several names. Poperratic released its first studio album, Vagus, in 2007. As Merkcurie, she explores electronic music, sometimes featuring a character named Merk Shaneley voiced by Luckett. She has written novels, plays and short stories and studied animation and filmmaking at USC, where she worked with Lucky McKee, who has praised her work. Luckett created poster art for McKee’s Blue Like You (2008) and has scored and contributed songs to many of his projects, often doing much of the work herself. She has directed music videos and done voice acting, including The Twincesses (2007). Her video Android in Love was shown at the 2012 Protoclip Festival in Paris. She also collaborated with Schpilkas as DEUXO, releasing a digital EP Tres Deuxo; their track MoreSumthin was used in the FX show Dirt.

Luckett’s output spans music, film, art and writing, and she continues to release work under Art Mechanix, keeping a distinctive, cinematic approach to her art.
