List of governors of Surat Thani Province

The Governor is the head of the province. The governor is nominated by the Minister of Interior and appointed by the King, and serves a four-year term or until retirement as approved by the cabinet. The office reports to the Ministry of Interior. The governor’s residence is the Surat Thani Governor’s Residence, and the seat is the Surat Thani Provincial Hall.

Current governor: Theerut Supawiboonphol (since 1 October 2024).

Formation and history: The office was established in 1907. The first governor was Phraya Worarit Ruachai.

Note: Until 1941, the Thai calendar year began on April 1, so some year dates in older records may be off by one.
