He is known for directing Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003), Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006), 3 Idiots (2009), PK (2014), and Sanju (2018). His films have been big commercial and critical successes and have won many awards. He has won 11 Filmfare Awards and founded Rajkumar Hirani Films. In 2023, he received the National Kishore Kumar Award from the Madhya Pradesh government’s Department of Culture.
