Kevin Wright (cricketer)
Kevin John Wright (born 27 December 1953) is a former Australian cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper. He appeared for Australia in 10 Test matches and 5 One Day Internationals in 1979, during the World Series Cricket era. He made his Test debut in January 1979 against England and played the last two Tests of the 1978–79 Ashes series and all six Tests in India that year, finishing his international career within ten months. After World Series Cricket ended, he lost his place to Rod Marsh and moved from Western Australia to South Australia to continue his first-class career. He captained South Australia to the McDonald’s Cup title in 1983-84 and retired from first-class cricket in September 1984. After retirement, he moved to Sydney to work in life insurance.
