Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman is the president’s official representative to Oman. Based in Muscat at the Russian embassy, the ambassador and staff handle relations with Oman. The current ambassador is Oleg Levin, who has held the post since 8 October 2024.

Diplomatic ties between the Soviet Union and Oman were established on 26 September 1985. At first, Oman was represented by the Soviet ambassador to Jordan, Aleksandr Zinchuk, who was accredited to Oman from 5 February 1986. The Russian embassy in Muscat opened in 1987, with Awdy Kulyýew serving as chargé d’affaires until Viktor Posuvalyuk became the first ambassador to Oman on 23 March 1988. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, Oman recognised the Russian Federation, and the incumbent Soviet ambassador, Aleksandr Patsev, continued as Russian ambassador until 1996.
