List of Superfund sites in Arkansas

Arkansas has Superfund sites designated under the CERCLA environmental law. CERCLA, passed in 1980, created a list of polluted places that require long-term cleanup. These sites are placed on the National Priorities List (NPL), which guides the EPA on which sites to study and clean up. As of March 26, 2010, Arkansas had nine sites on the NPL. No new sites have been proposed since then, and six sites have been cleaned up and removed from the list.
