List of IACC regattas
These regattas feature International America's Cup Class (IACC) yachts. The IACC design was created for the America's Cup, with official specifications released in 1989 after the 1988 Cup disaster. The class was used in the America's Cup from 1989 to 2010, and it also appeared in other events such as the IACC Worlds and the Louis Vuitton regattas.
In 2010, the America's Cup did not use IACC boats because the defender Alinghi and the challenger BMW Oracle could not agree on terms. A separate deed of gift match was held that favored multihulls, and BMW Oracle won with a trimaran.
IACC boats continued to race in the Louis Vuitton Trophy through 2010. The class was replaced in the 2013 America's Cup by AC72 catamarans, and in the America's Cup World Series by AC45 boats. Today about 100 IACC sail numbers have been issued.
