List of Cistercian abbeys in Great Britain. The first was Waverley Abbey in Surrey, founded in 1128. In the following years, more abbeys were started in other parts of Britain, especially Yorkshire, Scotland, and Wales. Brackets show the year of foundation and the motherhouse that founded each abbey.
