Robespierre station
Robespierre is a Paris Métro station on line 9, located in Montreuil, just east of Paris in Île-de-France, France. It is named after the nearby Rue Robespierre, which was named for Maximilien Robespierre, a famous French Revolutionary leader. The station opened on 14 October 1937 when line 9 was extended from Porte de Montreuil to Mairie de Montreuil.
Robespierre has two tracks and two side platforms with an elliptical vault. The decoration uses white bevelled ceramic tiles, white rounded lighting canopies in the Gaudin style, and earthenware frames for advertisements; the seats are red Motte-style. There are two entrances to the station. It is in fare zone 1 and is also served by bus line 318.
In 2019, about 4.22 million passengers used Robespierre, making it the 109th busiest station out of 302. In 2020, about 2.28 million used it (100th busiest out of 305) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
