Liddiard trophy
The Liddiard Cup is a London cross country race that started in 1947. It is named after E. J. Liddiard, a founder of the Queens Park Harriers club. The race is held every year at Fryent Country Park in Kingsbury. In recent years it has been run together with the North of the Thames competition. Many well-known runners have won the event, including Mike Barratt, Andy Ferguson, Eric Shirley, John Merriman, Tony Simmons, Dave Bedford, Julian Goater and John Downes. Mike Barratt has the most wins, taking the title nine times between 1952 and 1965.
