Ira Hamilton Ford Sr. (June 11, 1827 – August 3, 1903) was a Wisconsin politician and Civil War veteran. He was born in Granville, Vermont, and went to California for the Gold Rush in 1849. In 1852 he moved to Columbia County, Wisconsin, after visiting relatives. He served in the Union Army during the Civil War with the 18th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry and reached the rank of captain; he was taken as a prisoner of war at the Battle of Shiloh. After the war, he served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1867 to 1868 as a member of the National Union Party. He died in Columbus, Wisconsin.
