Bushra Mateen (10 October 1943 – 8 April 2021) was a Pakistani educator, professor and sports administrator who served as the vice-chancellor of Lahore College for Women University. Born in Lahore, she earned an MSc in chemistry at Punjab University, Lahore, and a PhD from Queen Mary, University of London. She taught organic chemistry, biochemistry and environmental chemistry for more than 37 years. As vice-chancellor, she helped Lahore College for Women University gain university status in 2002 and worked to improve science and general education. She published about 30 research papers in national and international journals. Besides her academic work, she was active in sports and social service: she was a Life Member of Hilal Ahmar (Pakistan Red Crescent) Punjab, a member of the Pakistan Hockey Federation Council, and a social worker. She received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Distinction) from the President of Pakistan in 2013. She was the daughter of Mohammad Din Butt and the wife of Khawaja Abdul Mateen.
