Lamphelpat is the district headquarter of Imphal West district in Manipur, India. It is a suburb of Imphal city, the state’s capital. The name Lamphelpat comes from two Meitei words: Lamphel, a place name in Imphal, and Pat, which means lake. The official language is Meitei (Manipuri). The area uses Indian Standard Time (UTC+5:30).
