Lake Suzy, Florida
Lake Suzy is an unincorporated community in DeSoto County, Florida. It sits in the southwest corner of the county, about 8 miles northeast of Port Charlotte. The area is known for golf and freshwater fishing in the ponds around the golf course, and it has a private airport with a grass runway used by residents with private planes.
The community has three main areas: estates near the airport along SW Austin Boulevard, condos around SW Egret Circle and SW Kingsway Circle, and family-friendly homes near Pembroke Circle, a deed-restricted neighborhood within Lake Suzy.
Four main establishments serve the area: Faith Preparatory School (formerly Community Green Charter School) and Laurel Oaks Academy Private School; the Lake Suzy Water Treatment Plant run by DeSoto County Utilities; Marathon Gas Station and convenience store; and Kingsway Golf Club.
