La Cangreja National Park
La Cangreja National Park is a protected area in Costa Rica. It lies in Puriscal Canton, San José Province, in the west-central part of the country, near the Pacific Ocean. The park covers about 4,600 acres (19 square kilometers). It was established in 1987 and is managed by SINAC (the National System of Conservation Areas). It is part of the Central Pacific Conservation Area and has IUCN category II status (national park). Until 2002, it was known as the Cerro de la Cangreja Protected Zone.
