Kweku Flick
Kweku Flick, born Andy Osei Sarfo on 16 May 2001 in Kumasi, Ghana, is a singer and songwriter from Abrepo in the Ashanti region. He comes from a family of five siblings and finished his schooling in Kumasi, attending Saint Georges, Pentecost Preparatory School, and St. Hubert Seminary School in 2020.
He started his music career in 2020 with the singles Awake and Money, the latter helping him gain fame in Ghana and beyond. He has collaborated with artists like Sista Afia, Yaw Tog, Sarkodie, Amerado, Strongman, Black Sherif, Kofi Jamar, and Kojo Cue. In 2020, he was featured on Shatta Wale’s Ahodwo Las Vegas. Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, he joined Smallgod to release Blackstars for the Ghana national team, which was well received, including by Mohammed Kudus.
Kweku Flick often sings in Twi and is known for his versatility across hip hop, highlife, drill, and Afrobeats. He sometimes introduces his songs with “PAW,” which he says means “Prayers Always Work.” He has earned praise from veteran musician Obrafour and has been nominated for awards at the Ghana Music Awards and the 3Music Awards. He is signed to BKC Music.
