Kono Yoru o Tomete yo is a song by Juju released on November 17, 2010. It was used as the theme song for the drama Guilty: Akuma to Keiyaku Shita Onna. The track is a pop ballad with piano, strings, and light synths, running 4:53. It was written by Kiyoshi “KC” Matsuo and Toshiaki Matsumoto, and produced by Jin Nakamura and Matsuo, under Sony Music Entertainment Japan.

The song was a big hit. It earned triple platinum for ringtones, double platinum for full-length mobile downloads, and gold for physical shipments. It was the 14th most downloaded song of 2010 in Japan, and Juju’s top-performing song of the year. The lyrics describe the end of a painful relationship, with the singer asking to stop the night they are together and to forget her, while not regretting the past. Juju says the song carries a message of staying strong in pain.

The music video, directed by Shinji Niwa, features Juju singing in winter clothes with changing lights, intercuts with scenes from the drama featuring Kana and Terunosuke Takezai. Juju first performed the song on October 10, 2010, at Juju no Hi, and it was performed on several TV shows and at live events in late 2010. The B-side, “Piece of Our Days,” was used as the ending theme for World Business Satellite. On Oricon, the single debuted at #13, peaked at #10, and stayed in the top 20 for eight weeks. Digitally, it reached #1 on the RIAJ Digital Track Chart, briefly dropped to #2, then returned to #1 for two more weeks. It was one of the year’s most downloaded songs, even though it was on sale for only 28 days.
