Komna is a mountain karst plateau in the Julian Alps of northwestern Slovenia. It rises from about 1,300 to 1,750 metres above sea level and has a triangular shape that overlooks the Bohinj Basin. To the east it continues into the Triglav Lakes Valley. Slovenia’s lowest temperature on record, −49 °C, was measured at Komna on 9 January 2009. The name comes from Slavic words meaning "mountain plateau." The Komna Lodge sits at 1,520 metres on Komna and is run by the Ljubljana Matica Alpine Club. Coordinates: 46.2844611°N, 13.7733806°E.
