Krum High School
Krum High School is a public high school in Krum, Texas. It is part of the Krum Independent School District in west central Denton County. The school serves grades 9–12 and had 754 students in 2023–2024, with a student-teacher ratio of 14.33. The principal is Michelle Pieniazek. The school colors are blue and white, and the mascot is the Bobcat/Lady Bobcat. The Bobcats compete in UIL Class AAAA, and the yearbook is The Bobcat. The address is 700-A Bobcat Blvd, Krum, TX 76249-9649.
Krum High’s boundary includes part of Denton. In 2015, the Texas Education Agency rated the school “Met Standard.” The school is strong in UIL academics, with six students advancing to the state meet in 2007.
Sports at Krum High include cross country, volleyball, football, basketball, powerlifting, golf, tennis, track, softball, and baseball. Krum did not have football until 2010. A 2006 bond to build a football stadium failed by 53 votes, but a 2007 bond funded football facilities and girls’ volleyball, and these sports began in the 2008–09 school year. The boys’ basketball team shares the state record for championships in its classification.
