Danton Township, Richland County, North Dakota
Danton Township is a township in Richland County, North Dakota. It includes part of the town of Wyndmere (the rest is in Wyndmere Township) and the site of the former town of Moselle. In 1883, the Garfield area—72 square miles—was made up of Danton and Barney townships. Danton Township was officially organized and named on April 28, 1893, though homesteaders had used the name for about ten years prior. Schoolhouses were built in the late 1880s. The location is about 46.2322° N, 97.0628° W.
