Kodikulam
Kodikulam is a panchayat in Idukki district, Kerala, about 12 kilometers east of Thodupuzha. It is part of Thodupuzha taluk. The main population centers are East Kodikulam, West Kodikulam, Parappuzha, Thennathoor, Thalakkampuram, Chalakkamukku, Koduvely, Vellamchira and Vazhakkala. The area is divided into two parts: Kizhake Kodikulam (east) and Padinjare Kodikulam (west).
The region is mainly rural, with rubber plantations as the main industry. The population includes Hindus, Christians and Muslims. St. Ann's Church is well known, and it is one of the few churches in India named for St. Ann, the mother of the Virgin Mary. There are three temples: Thrikkovil Subrahmania Temple in West Kodikulam, Sri Chandrapillil Devi Kshetram on the bank of a Kaliyar river tributary in West Kodikulam (managed by NSS Karayogam), and Anchakulam Bhagavathy Temple. There are two Muhiyuddeen Juma Masjids, located in Vellamchira and West Kodikulam.
