1950 Albi Grand Prix
The 1950 Albi Grand Prix was a non-championship Formula One race held on 16 July 1950 at Circuit Les Planques in Albi, France. The race ran as two heats of 17 laps each (total distance 301.9 km / 187.6 miles) on a circuit 8.880 km long, with the winner decided by aggregate results.
Louis Rosier won driving a Talbot-Lago, after finishing 3rd in Heat 1 and 1st in Heat 2. José Froilán González finished second in a Maserati, and Maurice Trintignant was third in a Simca-Gordini. Juan Manuel Fangio had pole position and also set the fastest lap, both with a time of 3:06.7 in a Maserati.
