“Knocked Down, Knocked Up” is the Legends of Tomorrow season 7 finale, episode 13. The story follows the team on a high-stakes time-travel mission that ends the season on a cliffhanger. Gwyn Davies travels back to 1916 to save his friend Alun Thomas, but Alun’s death is a fixed point in time and cannot be changed. Gwyn is killed, and the team learns that the future could be at risk. Meanwhile, Gary Green ends up in ancient times and discovers a way to return to the present. Sara Lance learns she is pregnant, thanks to her alien biology, and her baby inherits her regenerative abilities.

The Legends attempt to go back to save Gwyn but are blocked by a human version of Gideon who tells them to leave. Astra Logue and Spooner Cruz convince Astra to turn against AI Gideon, who uploads herself into a clone body. The clone becomes an anomaly and self-destructs in the Temporal Zone, while Astra shields the group and rebuilds the Waverider.

They meet Mike, a fixer protecting the point. Gwyn realizes that changing history could trigger a paradox that erases the Legends themselves, making Mike feel useless. In a tense turn, Gwyn destroys his time machine and steals the Waverider to talk to his superiors. Nate Heywood rescues Alun from mustard gas but loses his powers in the process. Sara reveals her pregnancy to Ava Sharpe, and Nate retires to the Wind Totem to settle down with Zari Tomaz, who also steps away from the team.

Mike returns with the Waverider but is arrested by his superiors for trying to alter the timeline. The episode closes on a cliffhanger, and Legends of Tomorrow was canceled a short time later, leaving Booster Gold’s future with the team unresolved.

Production notes: The episode was written by executive producers Phil Klemmer and Keto Shimizu and directed by Kevin Mock. Donald Faison guest-starred as Booster Gold, a role that could have become a regular if the show had continued. Filming took place December 3–16, 2021. It aired on March 2, 2022, on The CW and drew generally positive reviews, with critics noting it as a strong ending that still left the door open for future adventures.
