Kitwana Rhymer
Kitwana Rhymer (born May 22, 1978, in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands) is a basketball player from the Virgin Islands. He currently plays for La Villa Basketball in the La Vega League in the Dominican Republic. Rhymer played college basketball at the University of Massachusetts from 1998 to 2002, where he was known as a strong shot blocker and earned the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year award for 2000-01. Since turning pro in 2002, he has played for nine teams on four continents. He has been a longtime member of the Virgin Islands national team, competing in Centrobasket in 1999, 2003, 2006 and 2008, and winning silver medals in 2006 and 2008. He also played for the Virgin Islands at the FIBA Americas Championship in 2007 and 2009, where the team finished last.
