Kigombe
Kigombe Ward is a local area in Muheza District, Tanga Region, Tanzania. It covers about 110.7 square kilometers and had about 5,700 people in 2012. It borders Kirare and Tongoni to the north, the Pemba Channel to the east, Pangani’s Kimang’a, Madanga and Bushiri to the south, and Mpapayu and Ngomeni to the west. The postal code is 21418. The ward is traditionally home to the Bondei people, with Swahili settlers also living there. It has its own local government offices, including a ward administration building and a court, as part of Tanzania’s ward system. The ward is governed by eight elected council members, plus a chairperson, one salaried officer (non-voting) and an executive officer; one-third of seats are reserved for women. The ward has schools and health services for residents.
