Kent Kingsley

Kent Kingsley (born 26 September 1978) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the AFL for North Melbourne, Geelong and Richmond. He came from Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL and was a 193 cm tall, 95 kg full-forward.

Kingsley and his twin brother Wade were recruited by Port Adelaide from the SANFL, but the brothers were traded to North Melbourne in 1996 for Paul Geister. He made his AFL debut in 1999 in Round 10 for North Melbourne and kicked six goals against Port Adelaide. After the 2000 season, he moved to Geelong and was Geelong’s leading goalkicker from 2002 to 2005. In 2006 he was dropped by Geelong and joined Richmond through the AFL Draft. He played three games for Richmond in 2007 and retired on 28 August 2007. In total, he played 125 AFL games and kicked 239 goals.

Off the field, Kingsley started an IT/web development company in 1998, which was bought by a public software company in 1999. He co-owned a Geelong restaurant, the George and Dragon Hotel, with teammates Steven King and Matthew Scarlett from 2004 to 2007. After his AFL career, he played for Glen Orden in the Western Region Football League.
