Kayono Maeda

Kayono Maeda (Maeda Kayono; 前田佳代乃) is a Japanese track cyclist born on January 13, 1991, in Kikuchi, Japan. She specialized as a sprinter. From 2009 to 2018, she won ten straight gold medals in sprint events at the Japanese National Track Race Championships. Maeda competed in the women's sprint at the 2012 Summer Olympics and in the sprint at the 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. She announced her retirement from cycling on September 9, 2018.
