Kawadipally
Kawadipally is a village in Abdullapurmet mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana, India. Telugu is the local language.
It is about 13 km from Hayathnagar, 63.6 km from the district’s main city, and 23 km from Hyderabad.
The village is famous for the 400-year-old Sri Kodanda Ramachandra Swamy Temple, which also has shrines for Vinayaka, Hanuman, Sri Narayana with Ashtalakshmi, Subramanya Swamy, and the Navagrahas. Every year during Rama Navami, Kalyanotsavam, Rathotsavam, and Chakratheertham are celebrated by the temple priests. Devotees from far away visit to seek blessings.
Another attraction is Antharganga Waterfalls, especially during the monsoon season.
Origin of the name: In Telugu, Kawadipally comes from a history of soldiers training there. It was once described as a place where military parade training and infantry drills were held, so it was called Kavathipalli, meaning “a place associated with the army.” Over time, the name changed to Kawadipalli.
