Kalle Suosalo was a Finnish baker and politician (1869–1918). Born in Messukylä, his original surname was Johansson. He served in the Finnish Parliament from 1916 to 1917 for the Social Democratic Party (SDP). In January 1918, during the Finnish Civil War, he lived in Jakobstad, where the White side soon controlled the area. Although he did not take part in fighting, he was arrested on 15 February as a Red supporter. He was executed on 2 March 1918 in Jakobstad after a quick military trial, along with six others, for allegedly plotting to blow up the Jakobstad Artillery School. He was the father of MP Vilho Suosalo and the great-grandfather of actor Martti Suosalo.
