Kalaidhoo is an inhabited island in Laamu Atoll, Maldives. It shares the same landmass as Isdhoo but is a separate island for administration. It is about 519 km from Malé and had a population of 655 in 2022. The time zone is UTC+05:00. In December 2013, President Abdulla Yameen declared Kalaidhoo a separate island and the Kalaidhoo Council was created the next day. The island is known for a bey’s spa (medicine spa) said to help skin problems, and there is also a fangi factory. In 2015, locals caught a 10-foot crocodile. Kalaidhoo has a government-run Kalaidhoo School for students up to grade 10; it used to be called Isdhoo-Kalaidhoo School.
