John Lyons (end)
John Stacy Lyons (September 10, 1911 – November 26, 1981) was an American football player. He was born in Coronado, California, and died in Bonita, California. Lyons played college football at Tulsa as a back from 1930 to 1932, known as a strong, fast runner and a tough blocker. He joined the Brooklyn Dodgers of the NFL in 1933, playing at the end position and appearing in two games that season. The Brooklyn Times Union described him as a heavy, 200-pound blocking back with good defensive skills, capable of taking out a defensive end or back. He was listed as 6 feet 1 inch tall and 185 pounds.
