Kafi's Story is a British documentary about the Nuba people in Sudan. It was directed by Amy Hardie and Arthur Howes and shot from 1986 to 1988, released in 1989. The 54-minute film follows Kafi, a young man from the Torogi village in the Nuba Mountains, as he travels north to Khartoum to earn money. Having money would let him buy a new dress and marry a second wife, Tete. The film gives a look at Nuba life just before the Second Sudanese Civil War. It was produced by N.F.T.S and Station Road, distributed by Marfilmes, with a budget of about £20,000.
