Proton Jebat
The Proton Jebat is a concept sports car from Malaysian automaker Proton, developed with Mitsubishi Motors. It first appeared at the 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show. Jebat is part of Proton’s Pahlawan concept line, named after a legendary Malaccan warrior Hang Jebat. The name also sounds like cepat, the Malay word for fast.
Built as a sport compact 4‑door sedan on the Mitsubishi GS platform, it shares underpinnings with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. It uses a 2.0‑liter turbocharged MIVEC engine (2.0L 4B11T, DOHC, 16 valves) delivering 237 hp and 343 Nm of torque, with 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of about 232 km/h.
