Kadenbach
Kadenbach is an Ortsgemeinde (a municipality belonging to a Verbandsgemeinde) in Westerwaldkreis, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It lies in the Westerwald between Montabaur and Koblenz, near the Nassau Nature Park. Kadenbach is part of the Verbandsgemeinde Montabaur, a collective municipality. The village was first mentioned in 1110.
The council has 17 members and a mayor (Ute Kühchen, 2019–2024). The town covers 4.45 square kilometers and sits at about 250 meters above sea level. As of December 31, 2023, about 1,330 people lived there, giving a population density of 299 per square kilometer.
Coat of arms: it features a Teutonic Knights cross and a black eagle’s head, with a red cross on silver, reflecting historical ties to the Teutonic Knights and the Electorate of Trier.
In 2006, a new credit union was built. The nearest Autobahn interchange is Montabaur on the A3 (Cologne–Frankfurt), about 12 kilometers away.
