KSQQ (96.1 FM), known as Q96, is a world-ethnic radio station from Morgan Hill, California. It broadcasts in Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese and serves the Santa Clara Valley and the wider San Francisco Bay Area. Owned by Coyote Communications, Inc., KSQQ is a Class A station with 4,700 watts of power and an antenna height of 49 meters. The studios are in San Jose, with a transmitter just south of the city. A translator, K277BN on 103.3 FM, extends coverage in San Martin. KSQQ first began broadcasting on September 5, 1991. Terrain can limit the signal, especially near Sunol Grade, making it harder to reach the Tri-Valley area.
