KMC Controls
KMC Controls, Inc. is a privately owned company based in New Paris, Indiana. Since 1969, it has designed and manufactured HVAC control systems and building automation products. It started as Kreuter Manufacturing Company, which began with pneumatic controls and later added analog electronic controls and direct digital controls (DDC).
Over the years, KMC expanded its product line to include thermostats, sensors, actuators, and valves. It offers BACnet digital controllers and a KMDigital line with a proprietary protocol. In 1995 the business began operating as KMC Controls, Inc. The company is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and its products support LEED certification in areas like Indoor Environmental Quality, Energy and Atmosphere, Sustainable Sites, and Water Efficiency. KMC holds patents for its control technologies.
KMC serves customers through regional offices, system integrators, distributors, wholesalers, and OEMs across North America and worldwide. In the 2010s, it adopted IoT and cloud-based services and has received several industry awards.
