History in brief: The station first signed on November 2, 1957 as KAZZ at 340 watts, playing jazz and standards. In 1968 it became KOKE-FM, simulcasting AM 1370 KOKE. In the early 1980s it switched to soft adult contemporary as KLQT and raised its power for wider reach. Through the years the station changed ownership several times, with Infinity (later CBS) purchasing it in 1998 and Entercom (now Audacy) acquiring it in 2007. The format evolved from Soft AC to a brighter adult contemporary, and in 2014 the station dropped Delilah’s evening show as part of a broader programming shift.
