KAKK
KAKK is a Minnesota radio station serving Walker. It broadcasts on 1570 AM with a translator on 93.7 FM (K229DJ) and uses the Fox Sports 1570/93.7 brand. The station airs a sports format with Fox Sports Radio programming and also carries the Coffee Talk show from KPRM (which is also simulcast on KDKK). It is owned by De La Hunt Media, Inc. (formerly De La Hunt Broadcasting).
KAKK began in 1970 as KLLR on 1600 AM. It has used several call signs over the years (KLLR, KLLZ) and became KAKK in 2002. The call sign stands for KK Radio Network, the owner. On May 11, 2022, KAKK switched from a classic hits format to sports. The station is a Class B AM station with 9,500 watts of power by day and 250 watts at night; its transmitter is south of Walker near the original site. KAKK has sister stations KDKK, KKWB, KPRM, KQKK, KSKK, and KXKK. As of February 14, 2025, KAKK is silent.
