Josh Wakefield
Joshua John Christopher Wakefield, born 6 November 1993 in Frimley, England, is a former English footballer who played as a midfielder. He started his career with AFC Bournemouth and turned professional in 2012. While with Bournemouth he went on several loan spells to Wimborne Town, Hamworthy United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Dorchester Town, Welling United, Torquay United, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil Town, plus a loan at Walsall.
In 2016 he joined Aldershot Town, then played for Poole Town and Weymouth, before moving to Salisbury. His most notable spell was with Weymouth, where he made 123 league appearances and scored 9 goals. He later played for Salisbury (47 appearances, 4 goals). Wakefield represented the Isle of Wight at the 2023 Island Games, appearing three times as the team finished fourth, and he retired from football after the tournament.
