Jorge Castillo (chef)
Jorge G. Castillo is a Cuban-American chef and television personality. He was born near Bauta, Cuba, and came to the United States in 1980 during the Mariel Boatlift. Castillo is a member of the Three Guys From Miami, a team that promotes Cuban culture and cuisine in the United States and Canada. The trio has appeared on various TV programs, including Keith Famie's Adventures, Tyler's Ultimate with Tyler Florence, and Christmas in America with Rachael Ray on the Food Network, NPR's The Splendid Table, Sara's Secrets with Sara Moulton on the Food Network, and Travel Channel's Taste of America, as well as a Public Television documentary, La Cocina Cubana: Secretos de mi Abuela. They have authored two cookbooks: Three Guys From Miami Cook Cuban and Three Guys From Miami Celebrate Cuban. Through their work, Castillo and the Three Guys From Miami promote the Cuban experience in the United States.
