Joranger Church
Joranger Church (Joranger kyrkje) is a small, white wooden parish church in the village of Joranger in Luster Municipality, Vestland county, Norway. It belongs to the Fet og Joranger parish within Sogn prosti of the Diocese of Bjørgvin in the Church of Norway, and it follows Evangelical Lutheran tradition.
The church has a long church design and seats about 85 people. It features a distinctive large octagonal steeple that stands out on the small building.
The current building was constructed on the site of an older stave church, probably in the 1630s–1640s, with 1660 commonly cited as the completion date. Some decorations date to 1643–1652, and materials from the old stave church were reused. In the 1960s, a foundation wall was added to address wood rot. The church is protected as a cultural heritage site.
