2020 Billboard Music Awards
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards were held on October 14, 2020, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. NBC broadcast the show, which was hosted by Kelly Clarkson for the third year in a row. TikTok and Xfinity sponsored the event.
The ceremony was originally scheduled for April 29 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later moved to October 14. Nominees were announced on September 22, with fan voting on TikTok from October 1 to October 13. Presenters were revealed on October 13. The first round of performers had been announced on September 29.
Post Malone was the big winner, taking home nine awards and earning 16 nominations—the most of any artist. Garth Brooks received the Icon Award, and Killer Mike received the inaugural Change Maker Award. The show drew about 3.71 million viewers.
